Sawblade shrimp

Sawblade shrimp
Tozeuma armatum
Camera - Olympus E20 with Light & Motion housing and Sea&Sea 90 strobes
Location - Sangeang Island, near Komodo National Park, Indonesia

This is my winning shot from last year (2007) ScubaDiver Australasia.

This delicate shrimp is a wonderful subject, however they are very tricky to find and even more so to photograph. They blend in perfectly with the black coral they are always hiding in. They turn as the same time as you, putting the stem between the camera lenses and them.
The mouth of the shrimp represent half of its full body length and it is covered with teeth, giving it the appearance of a saw blade, hence the name.
